Metal Roofing in Carney, OK

A metal roof can outlast you — but only if it is installed right. Matt does the install himself, so the panel that protects your home for 40 years is set by the man who stakes his name on it.

A metal roof is the last roof most Oklahoma homeowners will ever buy. Done correctly, standing-seam steel shrugs off hail, sheds wind-driven rain, and reflects the summer heat that punishes shingles. Done wrong — wrong fastener, wrong flashing, panels oil-canned by a rushed crew — it becomes a 40-year mistake bolted to your house.

The difference is not the metal. It is the hands that install it. At Roofing 101, that is Matt Taylor. Thirty-five years, one owner, and a metal roof he is willing to warranty because he set every panel himself.

Your worries, answered

What homeowners ask before they call

Isn’t metal way too expensive?

It costs more up front than shingles and less over its life — you buy one metal roof instead of three shingle roofs. On the pricing page you see the real range before anyone climbs a ladder.

Won’t it be loud when it rains?

Not over a solid deck and underlayment. Installed properly, a metal roof is no louder than shingles — the “tin roof” sound comes from open-frame barns, not homes.

Will a salesman upsell me on panels I don’t need?

There is no salesman. Matt looks at your roof, tells you what it actually needs, and gives you the number. No commission, no pressure.

Done right, not fast

What’s included

The details most crews skip are the details Matt does himself. Here’s what goes into the job:

  • Tear-off and full deck inspection — rotten decking replaced, not roofed over
  • Synthetic underlayment and high-temp ice-and-water shield at valleys and eaves
  • Concealed-fastener standing seam or heavy-gauge exposed-fastener panels
  • Custom-bent flashing at every wall, chimney, valley and penetration
  • Ridge venting matched to your attic for real airflow
  • Full cleanup with a rolling magnet — no nails left in your yard

Frequently asked

Metal Roofing questions

How long does a metal roof last?

A properly installed standing-seam metal roof commonly lasts 40 to 70 years. The coating warranty and the install quality are what determine which end of that range you land on.

Can you put metal over my existing shingles?

It is sometimes allowed by code, but Matt tears off. You cannot inspect or repair decking you have buried, and hidden rot is how “cheap” roofs become expensive ones.

Does metal attract lightning?

No. Metal roofing does not increase the likelihood of a lightning strike, and because it is non-combustible it is actually a safer material if one occurs.
